I am happy to announce that my friend Lorenzo Bovi and his friends Domenico Anfora and Stefano Pepi di Bonfalà from Sicily have located this Bundesarchiv Tiger picture:
It has been taken in front of the former Municipio (Common House) of the village of Biscari (now Acate).
This building has been destroyed years ago to leave place for the new Municipio building, so the place is now unrecognizable.
The picture in which he claims his location is this:
Please note that the window just right of the Tiger, is the farthest window left in the right picture!
So the angle it was taken is different, but the building is the same!
Also this picture could be the same place, although it is not the same building of the Municipio.
In the book Tiger in Combat Vol 1 at page 249 is said in the dida: "After the Allied Landing near Gela, the company was alerted and marched to the landing zone". The path of the first fight was indeed from Piazza Armerina to Caltanissetta to Biscari-Acate.
